Cartridge Zoning

A number of HP cartridges are specific to different world zones. Printers from one zone will not accept the equivalent cartridge from another zone. Some customers have reported that HP have been willing to regionalise printers bought abroad, so that they can use Zone 2 cartridges, while others have reported difficulty in doing so.

Our InkTec refill kits will work with cartridges from any zone and the table below provides links to a suitable kit for each cartridge, where available.

The zones are:
Zone 1 - The Americas
Zone 2 - Europe
Zone 3 - The Rest of the World
Zone 4 - Far East

The table below gives the European cartridge numbers, with the equivalent numbers for the other zones:

The following printers are stated by HP not to be compatible with European cartridges:

Photosmart D5060, D5065 and D5069 will not accept any Zone 2 cartridges
Photosmart 2570 bought in the Americas will not accept HP 339 or HP 344 cartridges
Photosmart C3100 bought in the Americas will not accept HP 343 cartridges
