Apollo printers were made by Hewlett Packard and use HP inkjet cartridges. The 1200 series use one black ink cartridge and a separate ink cartridge, which contains three coloured inks, to provide four-colour printing. The 2000 series also have a photo cartridge, which can be used in place of the black ink cartridge, to provide black and two further colours, giving six-colour printing. Four colours of printer ink give adequate results for business printing, but six or more colours give better results for printing photographs with an inkjet printer. As printing inks are used at different rates, multi-colour cartridges are usually less economic than having individual inkjet cartridges for each colour.

For the black and colour cartridges, we can supply the original HP ink cartridges, an InkTec ink refill kit, a remanufactured ink cartridge and our own refill service. For the photo cartridge, we can only supply the HP original ink cartridge. An InkTec refill kit is a good way to recycle your own cartridges, but can only be used with an original HP ink cartridge. A remanufactured ink cartridge is one that has been recycled and factory refilled by a third party manufacturer.
